Happy Dance Time!

Wahoo!

I'm a finalist in
Query Critique Contest

I'm very excited, though I realize after reading all the other revised queries that I have very little hope in winning, but like they say:  It's great just to be nominated!

I would like this opportunity to thank everyone
who helped whip my query into better shape, most especially
You, Ms. Weeks, are a godsend, not to mention a freakin' anomaly.
Who can whip out queries like that, I ask you?

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I suck with queries...

I don't think you give yourself enough credit, your query read well, and came across very polished.

And it shows since you’re a finalist, congrats!!

I would say I suck with queries too, but queries just suck. Congrats and thanks for finding my blog.

Woot! Congratulations Nancy! I am a query idiot so I didn't offer feedback, but I read both your original and your revision. You have an awesome story! Like Michelle said, do *not* sell yourself short.

Do you really live in Sammamish? Can't believe I missed that. I know the area well. I used to live in Redmond.

And lest I forget: best of luck in the contest!!!

Thank you all so very much! You are all very kind and supportive.

In the end, I didn't win, but then again, I had no illusions that I ever would. The query that did win is amazing and she deserves all the credit she is getting.

Wow--can't believe I missed this post. You're very welcome. What can I say--your premise was inspiring. VERY happy to have helped.

Just don't tell anyone how much influence your gratitude had in your judging of the 1st 200 words contest. :)
