Today’s the big day,
the release of Lisa Regan’s
I LOVE this book, and actually had a bit of a hand in it,
working extensively with Lisa over the last couple years to help her get it
just right. And oh, how right it
is!! Go read my Amazon
review here.
And now, to celebrate this momentous occasion, Lisa is
hosting the Aberration Bloghop. On June 6th & 7th, participants will list their
top 5 choices for the most aberrant characters in fiction, television, or
movies. If you're a writer, feel free to include a short paragraph about your
own aberrant character.
Participants will be entered to win an Amazon gift card for
either $25, $15, or $10, plus, 1 of 3 signed copies of the Aberration paperback
and 1 of 5 ebooks. How cool is that?!
Here’s my entry:
A cold, heartless monster who
revels in her power over those in desperate need of compassion.
I love revenge stories, but this
guy is insanely twisted and obsessed.
A seriously insecure and
manipulative psychopath who gets away with murder.
Played by deliciously sexy Brit, James Purefoy, Joe is a
diabolical serial killer who creates a cult of serial killers, and turns the
act of murder into a pseudo-sexual experience for himself and his followers.
Those are all long-standing villains, of course, but if you
want to sink your teeth into a few new members of this elite Club Aberration,
check out Lisa’s books.
And in Aberration,
you’re dumped deep into the psychopathic mind of an obsessive creep who’ll have you
constantly looking over your shoulder for crazed stalkers.

Some good choices. Ratched was a wretched creature.
Congratulations to Lisa!!!
Holy crap those are good choices! LOL. And you should be celebrating too cause this book would not even be here if it weren't for all your help and encouragement! Love you to pieces and thank you!
I've yet to watch "Hannibal", but will probably marathon it, at some point. Lecter is a great villain...all your choices were very cool and some truly aberrant characters :)
Yeah, I see what's going to happen--I'm going to be reading these entries and saying, "Doh! How did I miss that one?" Great list, Nancy.
Very good aberrant choices, Nancy. I forgot about the nurse in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, she was dastardly.
I think you have the most unique list I've read so far. Even picking the television Hannibal over The Silence of the Lambs version.
Hannibal has been very popular today.
Okay, I'm gonna have to put my Kindle somewhere inconvenient when I'm working on my laptop. It's much too easy to order all these books I read about on blogs. Oh well. Too late. I already ordered "Aberration," It sounds terrific!
Another good creepy character is the wacko in Stephen King's "Misery" who kidnaps the writer. Talk about a dirty birdy.
Loved both the Cuckoo's Nest and Red Dragon. Both amazing books and characters. Great choices. Writer’s Mark
I had no idea they had a show named Hannibal. I have to get out more... Great choices!
Oh Nurse Ratched is a good choice-- haven't seen her mentioned on the hop yet.
Nurse Ratched is such a good one!
Horrible (yet great for the purpose at hand) picks in your list :)
This is a pretty good list! I'll check these books out.
